I might have reblogged this already but whatever.

eeeee I love her

oh yay the english version!!

YES. YES. ALL OF THE YES.

This is really important.  Our “sexuality” is defined by the terms that are available.  The idea of what your sexuality is, is socially constructed.  I thought I was bisexual, because this was the term that most applied, until I learned what pansexuality was, and I was like, YES, THAT’S HOW I FEEL.  And now, since I’ve been dating a man, people have told that that I was a “fake lesbian” or a “bisexual who just did it for heteronormative pleasure”, but that’s not it at all.  I love people.  If I love you, it’s not your gender, it’s not your race, it’s not your religion, it’s not your haircut, it’s not anything superficial that makes me emotionally or physically attracted to you.  I LOVE YOU.  YOU.  And besides, gender is so fluid… I’m a boyish girl, and my boyfriend is a girlish boy, and I fucking love that.  I told my boyfriend recently, “I feel like I’m actually a lesbian who happened to find a soulmate… who happened to be a boy.”  But honestly, I just love people because they’re beautiful, and loving, and sexy, and imperfect, and perfect, and real, and honest, and mysterious, and magical.

Gustav Klimt
Death and Life
1910
Klimt’s large painting features not a personal death but rather merely an allegorical Grim Reaper who gazes at “life” with a malicious grin. This “life” is comprised of all generations: every age group is represented, from the baby to the grandmother, in this depiction of the never-ending circle of life. Death may be able to swipe individuals from life, but life itself, humanity as a whole, will always elude his grasp. The circle of life likewise repeats itself in the diverse, wonderful, pastel-coloured circular ornaments which adorn life like a garland. Gustav Klimt described this painting, which was honoured with a first prize at the 1911 International Art Exhibition in Rome, as his most important figurative work. Even so, he seems to suddenly no longer have been satisfied with this version in 1915, for he then began making changes to the painting—which had by that time long since been framed. The background, reportedly once gold-coloured, was made grey, and both death and life were given further ornaments. Standing before the original and examining the left interior edge of Josef Hoffmann’s frame for the painting, one can still discern traces of the subsequent over-painting, which was done by Klimt himself.

Klimt. Too good.

HBC: The prettiest crier or the prettiest crier EVER????

HBC: The prettiest crier or the prettiest crier EVER????

I belt this song while driving on route 9 between my college town and my nannying job watching the mountains rise up cold and gree-gray from the horizon as the trees by my side show the first signs of budding leaves. The ice is melting and puddles become ephemeral lakes that splash sunlight upwards upwards upwards. It’s been a while since I’ve been in love at this point and this wistful romantic melancholy tone of the song stirs more in me than any real experience has in a while. It’s wonderful to be stirred.
